Hi, I am based in Mumbai though occasionally I visit Kolkata to train our retail staff.
As far as the boost shoe is concerned, it is one of the good running shoe which tried n tested n had good reviews worldwide! It was wonderful heel cushioning- TPU cross section and EVA cusion system... good shoe for beginners... Can u please tell me more about the pain she is facing- which part of the feet and also what kind of feet arch she has- normal arch/flat arch? Is she is regular runner or started running/jogging recently? Where does shoe run (i wanted to know the surface type)? Does she has past history of heel/leg pain?

Her base part of the feet is painimg...I mean 'gorali'! She has a normal arch. Is she is regular runner or started running/jogging recently? Where does shoe run (i wanted to know the surface type)? She has been running for the past one month! She basically runs on roads and streets! Does she has past history of heel/leg pain? Nops!..never! Last edited by admin; 14th August 2009 at 08:15 AM. |

Hi, sorry for the delayed response. I was back to back tour to some of the upcountry stores and could not check the forum.
I can think of two reasons for heel pain:- 1) she has recently started running and impact on the heel is more (atleast 2-3 times of your body weight) while running. as she is naive to running, she is facing this pain but this pain will be short lived once your feet get adjusted to the shoe and running conditions. 2) boost is a good running shoe (as reviewed by Sneako). it has TPU cushioning rather than rubber cushioning and sometimes it takes some time to adjust to the running. TPU cushioning is better tha rubber cushioning as the cushioning level and shape n durability is long lasting. I would recommend your sister to keep using the shoe for a while till her feet as well as the shoe gets adapt to the running. Sneako your valuable inputs please...

No inputs really since I cannot figure out what might be causing it. But as Sudeep hinted, if she is a new runner, there might be teething aches right from the shoulders to the heel. An assessment again after wearing the shoe for sometime sounds like a good idea.

Hi All...Sorry I could not reply for sometime...Well Sudeep your suggestion worked...her pain is gone...and as you had guessed...it was caused because she was a new runner!
Anyways, the shoe is working absolutely fine now... Thanks Sudeep and Sneako !! Cheers !! |
